This painting emerged from my own journey with the dark feminine. I created it while going through a divorce.
For years, I believed I had to be the good girl, pleasing, accommodating, careful not to upset anyone. I spent so much energy walking on eggshells that I lost touch with parts of myself.
Creating this piece changed something. I reconnected with my womb, my pleasure, and the wisdom of nature.
Nature is not only soft and gentle, it is also wild and powerful. This painting reminds me that the feminine is not meant to fit into a single expression. She can be tender and nurturing, but she can also be fierce, instinctive, and unapologetically alive.
