Ancestors

When I received the commission for this painting, we had already agreed, more or less, on what it would look like: the overall theme, the structure, the colors.

But as soon as I began to connect with the canvas, a strong sense came through. This painting would be deeply tied to the root chakra and to ancestral wisdom, the knowledge and energy of those who came before us, still speaking through us.

At the same time, I felt another layer emerging: insight, intuition, the higher chakras. In a way, the painting became a meeting point between two realms.

The blue tiger carries that airy, intuitive quality. It seems to rise from the higher chakras, bringing insight and a different kind of awareness.

And yet, however different these two sides may feel, the earthy and the airy, the grounded and the intuitive, they are not separate. They share the same foundation.

Both are held by the wisdom of the Earth, and by everything carried through the generations before us.

For me, this became the central message of the painting: our intuition and higher awareness do not exist apart from where we come from. They grow from the very roots that connect us to our ancestors.
